Belzhiki & Regional – Mirror Design Afghan Carpet
Belzhiki & Regional | Mirror Design
From the ancient weaving town of Qarqin, Jawzjan, Afghanistan, this Belzhiki & Regional carpet carries centuries of Turkman artistry into your home. Three master weavers spent three months hand-knotting every inch of this piece — a quiet act of devotion repeated 40 times per 10 centimeters, in both directions.
The Mirror Design unfolds across the field in a rhythmic grid of botanical medallions — cypress trees, rosettes, and sacred motifs — each panel a reflection of the next, yet never quite identical. It is the nature of the hand: no two knots fall the same way twice.
Woven entirely from 100% original Turkman wool, the pile carries a natural luster that deepens with age. The slate-blue field grounds the ivory, gold, and burgundy motifs, making this carpet as striking in a contemporary interior as it is in a traditional one.
