Return & Refund Policy

At Golden Loom Afghanistan, we take pride in offering authentic handmade Afghan carpets crafted by skilled artisans. Because each carpet is unique and made by hand, slight variations in color, pattern, and size are a natural expression of craftsmanship and are not considered defects.

Returns

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery only if:

  • The item arrives damaged
  • The wrong item was sent
  • The product has a major manufacturing defect

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition
  • You must contact us within 7 days of receiving the item
  • Clear photos or videos of the issue must be provided
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of return approval

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order carpets
  • Sale or discounted items
  • Items damaged after delivery due to misuse or improper care

Exchanges

If you received the wrong size or a defective item, we are happy to arrange an exchange. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method
  • Processing time may take 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect
  • We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service for all international returns
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of return approval
  • Any customs duties or import taxes incurred on returned items are the responsibility of the customer

Handmade & Color Variations

Due to the handmade nature of our carpets and differences in screen displays, slight variations in color, texture, and dimensions may occur. These are a hallmark of authentic Afghan craftsmanship and are not considered defects.

We are committed to resolving any issues fairly and promptly. If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of your return or refund request, please contact us directly and we will do our best to find an amicable solution. Golden Loom Afghanistan operates under Afghan commercial law, and any unresolved disputes may be referred to the relevant jurisdiction.
